What is the IDEAL IMPLANT?
In the past, women only had two options for larger, fuller breasts: silicone gel-filled implants or unstructured saline implants. IDEAL IMPLANT Structured Breast Implants were designed by a plastic surgeon to give women a third option for breast augmentation. This new implant technology gives women the look of silicone gel breast implants with the safety of only saline inside. The IDEAL IMPLANT’s design is unique. A series of nested shells and an upper pole inside the shell of the implant gives it structure and cuts down on wrinkling and rippling. The result is a smooth, beautiful implant that feels and looks natural. It also requires a smaller incision in surgery because it’s inserted into the breast pocket empty instead of pre-filled. No Fear of Silent Rupture
In a 2017 independent survey of 933 women, 98% reported they would be concerned about silent rupture with silicone gel implants. Silent rupture occurs when there is a tear or rupture in the implant without your knowledge. This is a problem with silicone gel-filled implants and can lead to further complications such as capsular contracture. Many women who have a rupture in their silicone gel implants may not know it’s there for weeks, months, or even years, until they develop more noticeable symptoms. The FDA recommends that women who have silicone gel implants get an MRI every two-to-three years to check for silent ruptures.
With the IDEAL IMPLANT, there is no risk of silent rupture! Women don’t have to spend time stressing about a rupture, because they’ll be able to look in the mirror and see it immediately. Rupture causes a slight deflation in an IDEAL IMPLANT, but women can rest easy knowing that the only thing leaking out is a sterile saline solution that is absorbed by the body harmlessly. This eight-year study looked at rates of rupture and capsular contracture comparing women with silicone gel-filled implants and those who had the IDEAL IMPLANT. The results of the study showed that the risk of both of these common breast enhancement implant complications was lower with the IDEAL IMPLANT.
