Each year thousands of women in and around the Jersey Shore visit plastic surgeons for procedures such as Botox, tummy tucks, and breast implant surgery. Since 2020 Dr. Rahul Vemula has offered a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures at his West Long Branch practice, V Plastic Surgery. Dr. Vemula’s patients praise his skill in surgery, attention to detail, and unparalleled dedication to patient care.

Dr. Rahul Vemula: A Double Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Vemula received his training at some of the top medical schools around the nation including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Monmouth Medical Center. At Tulane University School of Medicine he served as a resident in plastic and reconstructive surgery, working under world renowned microsurgeons. During this residency, Dr. Vemula learned how to perform perforator flap breast reconstructions such as profunda artery perforator (PAP) flap and deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap. Dr. Vemula brought these skills to the West Long Branch area in 2016, and now offers them to patients at his private practice.

Dr. Vemula is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a member of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Breast Reconstruction With Dr. Vemula

While Dr. Vemula offers a wide variety of reconstructive procedures, including breast implant surgery, he is one of the few Monmouth County surgeons to offer several highly specialized breast reconstruction options. As mentioned above Dr. Vemula is trained to perform profunda artery perforator (PAP) flap and deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap surgeries. Each of these procedures offer women the opportunity to use their own fat, tissue, and blood vessels to reshape their breasts. During a PAP flap procedure a blood vessel, skin, and fat from the patient’s upper thigh is removed, and inserted into the chest. The blood vessel is then reattached, and the skin and fat are used to reshape the breast. DIEP flap reconstruction is similar, however this procedure takes material from the lower belly. Not every patient will be a good candidate for PAP flap or DIEP flap reconstruction. Fortunately Dr. Vemula offers multiple breast implant options so every woman can regain her shape and confidence following breast cancer treatment.

Giving Women Choices For Breast Implant Surgery

Whether you are looking for options following breast cancer treatment, or simply want to boost your self-esteem through breast augmentation, Dr. Vemula is proud to offer a wide range of breast implant options. At V Plastic Surgery you will find unstructured saline, silicone gel, and the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant. Dr. Vemula will educate you about each of these options, and help you choose the best fit for your body and your peace of mind.

Dr. Vemula was recently named an Ideal Implant Preferred Surgeon because he is one of the top plastic surgeons in the nation using this new technology. Dr. Vemula began offering this option to give women the best of what breast implants have to offer. As he explains, “the beauty of this implant is that the volume can be adjusted to correct any asymmetry.” During surgery the plastic surgeon fills the implant with saline, adjusting and correcting asymmetry that already exists for a beautiful and precise result.

In addition, Dr. Vemula acknowledges how important it is for women to have a choice for breast implant surgery that gives them both beauty and peace of mind. “This is a saline implant that has the look and feel of silicone gel,” says Dr. Vemula. The internal structure of the IDEAL IMPLANT contains baffled layers which work to control the flow of saline. This control means the implant does not ripple or wrinkle the same as an unstructured saline implant. However, with only saline inside, women have the peace of mind of instant rupture detection and no need for periodic MRI or ultrasound scans. Surgical and Non-Invasive Procedures at V Plastic Surgery

While breast augmentation was the top plastic surgery procedure in 2019 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there are many other popular and effective procedures to fit every woman’s needs. Dr. Vemula offers surgical procedures, such as facelift and eyelid surgery, that provide long-lasting results. In addition, he offers combination surgeries tailored to each patient’s needs such as a “mommy-makeover,” which typically includes liposuction, a tummy tuck, and breast implant surgery. Dr. Vemula will meet with you to determine which surgery or combination of surgeries will best fit your aesthetic goals, as well as which surgeries you are a good candidate for.

Minimally invasive cosmetic procedures are a good option for any patient who wants to address problem areas without the invasiveness and recovery time of a surgical procedure. Most minimally invasive procedures can be completed in an hour or less, with the patient able to drive themselves home afterwards. Dr. Vemula offers procedures such as Botox, Juvederm, non-surgical nose reshaping, dermaplaning, and microneedling.

Extraordinary Results, Exceptional Care from Dr. Vemula

No matter which type of cosmetic or reconstructive procedure you choose, it is important to have options and learn what each of these options will provide. Working with a board-certified plastic surgeon you trust should be the first step in your journey. This is especially true for women seeking reconstructive procedures after cancer treatment, including breast implant surgery. As one of Dr. Vemula’s recent patients explains,

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the whole process of going through chemo up to my double mastectomy was extremely overwhelming. I was scared and nervous regarding the reconstruction process. When I met Dr. V, I felt safe.  Dr. V made me feel relaxed and comfortable. …I admire his honesty and knowledge…” – Google User Emre G.
